This is an east facing, square top, limestone Ledger Stone, measuring 5ft9ins(H) x 2ft8ins(W) x 4ins(D).  The mason was unconcerned about bad practice of splitting words over separate lines and also used abbreviation for space saving such as the symbol ꙋ for the word 'and'.  There is a horseshoe motif at the lower end of the stone.  
Whilst not noted on the headstone, church records show John Toole and Mary Toole were from the townland of Coolagh (Coolaghy).  They were both children of Laurence Toole who erected the stone.  There is some discrepancy between the dates recorded on the stone and that in the church register - The register shows John died on 30 March 1794 and Mary on 26 May 1803.
