This east facing square top limestone slab has collapsed/subsided on its northside and is partially covered with soil and stone debris making it difficult to transcribe and to measure accurately. Dimensions as near as possible are 6ft8ins x 3ft3in x 5in. Inscription on the stone is roman style incised script and the mason has been economical with space for lettering, ie has used abbreviations and was unconcerned about bad practice of splitting words over separate lines. The end of the second line of text disappears under debris after the letters Erec - we can safely presume the word should read Erected. The word 'for' on the last line of text is represented by a symbol resembling an inverted winged V
