May the Lord have
Mercy on his soul
Erected by Daniel
Burke
The east facing limestone square top ledger slab has collapsed/subsided on its northside and is partially covered with soil and stone debris making it difficult to transcribe and to measure accurately. A section of the bottom of the stone is completely fractured. The measurements of the stone are 6ft8ins(H) x Unknown(W) x 5ins(D). The height of the stone slab measures 5ft3ins above the fracture and 1ft5ins below the fracture.
The text is incised Roman lettering.
It has a plain christogram at the top with tau cross
* The memorial stone doesn't give a townland for Denis but the parish death register gives his place of death as the Chapel road.
