The limestone headstone, erected by deceased's son Timothy, is oval topped with shoulders.  Much of the top of the stone is white with lichen. 
It measures 3ft2in to highest point and 2ft5in from ground to top of shoulders.  It is 2ft5in in width and 4in in depth.
It has rough stone on its west face and the inscription faces east and is incised roman script.  The oval top is edged with a sunburst, under which is a christogram and cross carved in relief.
* The last numeral of the year of death was difficult to read, we have entered it as most likely a one but there is a possibility it could be a seven or even a six.  On the penultimate line, the mason incorrectly spelled years without an a.
