The surname Lydane is nowadays more commonly referred to as Lydon. 
Script on the headstone is simply incised Roman lettering and has at the top a simply incised IHS christogram, intersected by a tau cross. 
The small limestone square topped stone is facing Westwards, which is probably the outcome of ill-informed graveyard enhancement.
