Cambered top East facing limestone ledger slab measuring 7ft6½ins(H) x 4ft3ins(W) x 5ins(D). The inscription is incised roman style with a Christogram at the top of the slab. This Christogram is encompassed in a decorative sunburst arc. Towards the base of the slab there is a vocational motif of a plough, indicating Thomas Hurney was a farmer. 
Although not marked on the stone, church record shows Thomas Hurney was from Clooniff and died on the 6th January 1796.
