John Danaher (1879-1956)  was born in Nicker, Pallasgrean, Co. Limerick on the 19th Jul 1879 to parents  John Danaher  & Mary Harty. His older sister  Catherine (1872-1940) who is recorded at this memorial was born on the 3rd Feb 1872.

John Danaher (1879-1956)  married  Bridget  Houlihan (1881-1926) in Nicker RC, Co. Limerick on the 7th May 1902. Bridget was  born on the 22nd Oct 1881 in Killinure, Brittas, Boher, Co. Limerick to parents Timothy Houlihan & Kate Hanly. She died on the 10th Jun 1926 . ( Date of death error on memorial).

Children born in Nicker, Co. Limerick  to John Danaher (1879-1956) & Bridget Houlihan (1881-1926) included  Mary Danaher 1902,  John (Sean) 1903-1989, William 1904-1970, Catherine (Kate) 1906, James 1907-1907, Bridget 1908-1939, James 1909,  Johanna 1910. Ellen 1912-1912, Eliza 1913, Ellen 1915, Roger 1916-1957, Margaret 1920 & Rose 1922-1981.

Rose Danaher (1922-1981) married  John Fennelly (1920-1994), son of Margaret Fennelly in Nicker RC, Co. Limerick on the 24th Nov 1943.

William  Danaher 1904-1970, a mechanic,  married Mary Ann Carroll (1911-1945), daughter of Thomas Carroll  in Nicker RC, Co. Limerick on the 25th Jan 1933. Mary, aged 33 years, died of tuberculosis.

Their children, born in Nicker, Co. Limerick, included  John Christopher Danaher 1933-2022, Thomas 1935-1935, Bridget 1937,  Katherine (Kitty) 1938-2008 & William (Liam) 1939-1944.

Bridget  Danaher 1937, married  Donald  Dynarski in Oct 1962 in Flushing, NY, USA. Divorced  May 1973.

Katherine (Kitty) Danaher  1938-2008, married Thomas Hynes in New York in 1967 and died in Yonkers, Weschester, NY on the 1st Feb 2008.

John Christopher Danaher 1933-2022, late of Branford , FL, USA died on the 28th Feb 2022.

His obituary  reads as follows :

John Danaher, of Branford Florida, went home to be with our Lord on February 28th, 2022.  John passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Bay Pines VA Hospital.  John was 88 years old.

In 1957, John immigrated to the United States from the village of Nicker, Pallasgrean,  County Limerick,  Ireland.  John served in the US Army from 1958 to 1959. After serving in the army, John was employed by American Airlines.  John and the Danaher family moved to Branford area in 1980.  John was an active member of the Catholic church and the Branford community.

John was predeceased by his parents William and Mary, son Billy, brothers Thomas and Liam, as well as his sister Katherine (Kitty).

John is survived by his loving wife Brigid, sister Bridget Dynarski, sons Kevin, John, Gerald and Steven, grandchildren Krysia, Collin, Amber, Steven and Damon, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 1 p.m., at the Epiphany Catholic Church, Lake City, FL.  The family will receive visitors at 4 p.m., Saturday at 8549 262nd, Branford FL.
