This small east facing limestone headstone leans slightly back. It measures 1ft10ins(H) x 1ft9ins(W) x 3½ins(W). As the headstone leans slightly to the left the right side is 2ins higher. The lettering on this square topped headstone is incised Roman script.  The mason has used abbreviations such as Died for died. More interesting is the use of ye  for the word 'the' and it was commonly used at this period in time. At the top is an IHS Christogram in false relief, intersected by a Tau Cross.  Most likely the surname on this  headstone should read Joyce not Joys. There is extensive lichen on the headstone.
