NB.   The  Jack   Browne   referred   to  and  the  John  Browne  who  died  in  1951  are  one  and  the  same  person.

Michael   Browne ,  son  of  John  Browne ,  married   Mary   Heffernan   (1880-1938),  daughter   of   Edmond   Heffernan    ( 1838 -1909 )   &   Catherine   Kelly   ( 1855 - 1924 )  of   Monemore ,   Emly   in   Hospital   RC ,  Co.  Limerick  on  the  23-10-1904. 

Children  born  to  them  included ,   Catherine  Browne   (1905-1973 ) ,  born  at   Ballinard,   Herbertstown ,  Co.  Limerick  on  the  21-12-1905   and  John   Browne   (1907-1951),  born  at  Monemore ,  Emly   on  the  01-07-1907.

Catherine  Browne   (1905-1973)  married   Thomas   Houlihan   ( 1896  -1970),  son of  Patrick  Houlihan  &  Hannah  O’Brien  of  Darnstown, Emlygrenan,  Co. Limerick  in  Emly  RC  in 1923.

Their  children  included    Patrick  Houlihan   1923,  Edmond    1926,  Joseph   1928 ,   Mary   1929,  Thomas (Tommy)  1931-2000,  Michael   1933,   Johanna   1935,  Philomena   1936,   William  P  ( Philly ) 1937-2025,   James ( Jimmy )   1941  &   Christopher ( Christy )  1943-2008. Both Tommy and his brother Christy were interred in Emly's new cemetery. Their brother Philly died on the 2nd Sept 2025 and was cremated in Shannon crematorium on Fri 6th Sept. Jimmy Houlihan was the last surviving member of this family on the 2nd Sept 2025. He resides in the UK.

John  Browne  (1907-1951)  married   Kathleen  Farrell  (1911-1983), daughter  of  Thomas  Farrell  &  Kate  Deely  of  Rathany, Hospital, Co. Limerick  on the  24-08-1930  in  Hospital  RC.
