This  memorial  was  sandblasted  and  cleaned  since  being  photographed  for  the  cemetery  survey.

William   O’Dwyer   (1853-1943),  son   of   Thomas   O’Dwyer   &   Ellen   Duggan   of   Drumleagh,   Clonbeg ,   Aherlow ,   Co.  Tipperary,    married   Mary   Crowe   (1851-1907),  daughter   of   Timothy   Crowe   &   Catherine   Walsh   of   Breansha,   Emly   in   Emly   RC   on   the   28-02-1887.   Mary  O’Dwyer,  nee  Crowe  (1851-1907)  died  of  tuberculosis..  

Her  children  included    Ellen  ( Lena )   O’Dwyer   1888,   Bridget   1889-1927,   Thomas  1891-1964,  Timothy   1892,  Catherine  1893  &   Mary  Margaret   1896-1985.

Bridget O'Dwyer (1899-1927) married  Pat Dwane on the 10-11-1925 in Emly RC.

Mary  Margaret O'Dwyer (1896-1985) married Philip Bishop on the 18-02-1942 in Nicker RC, Co.Limerick.

Thomas   O’Dwyer   (1891-1964),  married   Mary  Morrissey  (1895-1992),  daughter   of   Martin   Morrrissey   &  Mary   Brett   of   Rossadrehid,   Aherlow,  Co.  Tipperary   in Bansha RC on the 08-02-  1928. 

Children  born  to   them   included   Martin  O’Dwyer  1929 - 2006,   Mary  1930 -2020,   William   ( Liam )   1932 - 2016,    Thomas  B   1934-1937  &   Michael   1937  who  compiled  four  books  relating  to  Emly  parish. 

Thomas  O’Dwyer   (1891 - 1964)   purchased   the  site  for  his  shop  at  The  Cross ,  Emly   for  30  pounds   from   Kate   Hackett   in  1926. 

The   premises   was   purchased   by   Michael   Fogarty  in  1963 ,  who   sold   it   to   Liam   Bourke   and  it  is  presently  owned   by   Jonas  Callaghan  and  his  wife  Betty,  nee  Flynn.

Martin  O’Dwyer  ( 1929 - 2006 ) of  Crannagh  Park,  Rathfarnham,  Dublin,  died  July 19  2006.  At  the  time of  his death, he  was survived  by  his  wife, Pauline,  children  Kevin & Aileen,  brothers  Liam & Michael  and  his sister Mary.

Martin  O’Dwyer  was  interred  in  Our  Lady’s  cemetery,  Annaduff,  Co. Leitrim  on  Tuesday  25th July  2006.

William  ( Liam ) O’Dwyer  (1932 - 2016)  of  Shamrock  Hill,  Clonmel,  Co. Tipperary, died  Feb 16  2016  and  was  interred  in  St.  Patrick’s  cemetery,  Clonmel,  Co. Tipperary  on  Sat  20th  Feb  2016.

At  the  time  of  his  death, he  was  survived  by  his  wife, Triona,  children,  Maire , Tomas, Daithi, Liam, Gearoid, Maighread, Therese  Dairine,  brother   Michael and  sister  Mary.

 Liam O' Dwyer's sister  Mary Murphy , nee O' Dwyer (1930-2020) died in Rathfarnham, Dublin on the 20-11-2020. At the time of her death, she was survived by her husband Pat Murphy, son Colum Aengus , daughter Deirdre & brother Michael O'Dwyer.

Mary's husband, Pat  Murphy 1926-2020, a native of Caherciveen, Co. Kerry and late of Rathfarnham, Dublin, died  on the 08-12-2020. He was a former teacher at Dungarvan CBS, Co. Waterford & De La Salle Churchtown, Dublin. He was predeceased by his brothers Jack, Mick, Denis & Jimmy. At the time of his death, he was survived by his immediate family of son Colum Aengus and daughter Deirdre and by his brother-in-law Michael O'Dwyer.

The ashes of both Mary Murphy, nee O'Dwyer  (1930-2020) & her husband  Pat  Murphy 1926-2020 were interred at this memorial on  Friday  03-09-2021.

A plaque was erected to them both on the right hand side of this memorial on the 3rd Apr 2023 and the memorial was sandblasted and stoned also by Molloy's  of Kilkenny .
