Michael Glasheen (1837-1919), son of John Glasheen (1787-1851) & Julia Bourke (1799-1872) of Emly , married Winifred Kelly (1840- ), daughter of John Kelly (1802-1882) & Winifred Crowe ( 1815-1875) of Drumcomogue , Emly in Emly RC on the 11-02-1866.
Children born to Michael Glasheen & Winifred Kelly included William Glasheen 1868-1947, Michael 1870, Julia 1872-1948, Patrick 1874-1874 & Winifred 1875-1876. Their mother was deceased at the time of the 1901 census.
Julia Glasheen (1872-1948) married R.I.C. constable David Thomas Vaughan (1875- ) in Emly RC on the 07-01-1900.
David Thomas Vaughan (1875- ) was born in Clonmel , Co. Tipperary. His father was R.I.C constable James Vaughan who married Ellen Delaney in Clonmel on the 13-07-1870. James Vaughan was not a native of Clonmel.
Children born to David Thomas Vaughan (1875- ) & Julia Glasheen (1872-1948) were Michael James Vaughan 1898-1909, Ellen Mary (Eily) 1901-1964, Emily M 1903-1908 & James Joseph 1905-1930.
Their father , David Vaughan was stationed in Ballybunion, Co. Kerry in 1901 , in Toomevarra , Co. Tipperary in 1903 and in Lorrha , Co. Tipperary in 1905.
Ellen Mary (Eileen) Vaughan (1901-1964), known as Eily Vaughan owned the land known as the Fairgreen in Emly . This place was a hive of activity on Fair days in Emly.
Twelve Local Authority houses were built on it in the mid 1970’s and named St. Ailbe’s Drive.
