James  Fitzpatrick  (1844-1915),  son  of   William  Fitzpatrick  (1810-1884)  &  Anne   Reeves  (1808-1886)  of   Lackelly ,  married   Margaret   Quillinan  (1858-1938),  daughter  of   James   Quillinan   &  Margaret   Doherty  of   Ballysheedy,  Anacarty ,  Co.  Tipperary   on  the  13-02-1888 in Anacarty RC.

Their  children  were   Anne   Fitzpatrick  (1890-1969),  William  (1891-1948)  &   Catherine  (1894-1963).

 Anne   Fitzpatrick  (1890-1969), married   John   McEniry  (1877-1951)  of   Farranassa,  Emly.

William   Fitzpatrick  (1891-1948)  married   Mary  Crosse ,  daughter   of   Thomas   Crosse   &   Catherine   Doherty   of   Clashalaher,  Brensha,  Co.  Tipperary  on the 13-02-1923. in Tipperary Town RC.

Their  son ,  Tommy   Fitzpatrick   (1927-2005), who  erected  this  headstone ,  was  a  well  known  local  business  man  and  community  activist  in  Knocklong ,  Co.  Limerick.  

Tommy  Fitzpatrick  was  interred  in  the  new  cemetery  in  Knocklong, Co. Limerick.

Tommy’s  son,  45  yr  old  Liam  Fitzpatrick  was  tragically  killed  in  a  motorcycle  accident at  Kilballyowen,  Bruff,  Co. Limerick on  Sunday  10-11-2013.  He  was  also  interred  in  Knocklong’s  new  cemetery  on Wednesday  13-11-2013.

Deceased siblings of Tommy Fitzpatrick (1927-2005)  include James (Jim) Fitzpatrick 1923-2016, who died in Thurles, Co. Tipperary on the 13th Jul 2016 and was interred in St. Patricks cemetery in Thurles.

Theresa  Doyle, nee Fitzpatrick 1939-2016, who died on the 16th Aug 2016 in West Roxbury, Maine, USA and was interred in St. Johns cemetery in Worcester, Maine.

Fr. John Fitzpatrick 1935-2019 died in Dublin on the 18th Sep 2019 and was interred  in the Spiritan Community cemetery in Rockwell College, Co. Tipperary.

Sr. Anne  (Nancy Fitzpatrick  1933-2019 died in Sydney, Australia on the 19th Sep 2019 and was interred in the Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park there.

Mary Bernadette (Bernie) Carroll. nee Fitzpatrick 1932-2022, the only remaining sibling, died on the 22nd Oct 2022 and was interred in the new cemetery in Knocklong, Co. Limerick. Her obituary reads as follows :

Bernie Carroll (née) Fitzpatrick) Knocklong, Co.Limerick, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at St. Anthony's Nursing Home, Pallasgreen, on October 22nd 2022.

Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, brothers Jimmy, Tommy and Fr. John, sisters Peggy, Kitty, Nancy and Teresa & son-in-law Brendan Hunt. Sadly missed by her sons John, Noel and Dermot, daughters Joan Hunt (Sandyford), and Marie Smith (Nenagh), son-in-law Vince, daughter-in-law Fiona, grandson Ben, granddaughter Maura, sister-in-law Eileen Fitzpatrick, nephew, nieces, relatives, cousins, neighbours & friends.

 Reposing at St. Joseph's Church Knocklong, Co. Limerick on Sunday evening 23rd Oc from 6 to 8pm. Requiem Mass at 11:30am on Monday, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Eileen Fitzpatrick, nee Ryan 1935-2024, a native of Annagh, Murroe, Co. Limerick and wife of Tommy Fitzpatrick 1927-2005, died on Sun 3rd Mar 2024 and was interred in the new cemetery in Knocklong, Co. Limerick on Thur 7th Mar 2024. Her obituary reads as follows :

The death has taken place of Eileen Fitzpatrick (née Ryan) of Leacailbhe, Knocklong, Co. Limerick, who passed away on Sunday, 3rd March 2024, in the excellent care of St Michael's Nursing Home, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Tom, and much loved mother of Mary Rose, Siobháin, Kathryn, Áine, Polly (Pauline), and the late Liam, and infant son Michael John. Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters Nora and Mary, brother Michael (Canada) and the late Margaret, Ann, and Joan, sons in law James, Séamie, Roger, Tom and John, daughter in law Tríona, grandchildren Michelle, Sarah, Ellen, Tommy, Danny, Rachel, Laura, Emma, Lisa, John, Annie, and Mikie, great grandchildren Bill and Róisín, and their dad Barry, sister in law Martha, brother in law Jim, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

 Eileen will be lying in repose in St Joseph's Church, Knocklong, Co Limerick on Wednesday 6th of March from 4 to 7pm, followed by evening prayers. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Eileen on Thursday 7th March at 11.30am after which she will be laid to rest in the local cemetery.
