Stephen   McInerney   was   born  on  the  26-12-1909 in  Carrickettle,  Kilteely   parish.  His  parents  were  blacksmith   Michael   McInerney  and  his  wife  Bridget  Ryan.

Stephen   married  Bridget  Crowley on the 9th Apr 1940.in Emly RC.  Bridget  was  born   in  Ballinaveen,  Emly  on  the  05-07-1916. 

Bridget  Crowley’s   parents  were,  Timothy  Crowley,1878-1968, son  of  Jeremiah  Crowley   &  Mary  Hanly 1879-1959,  daughter  of  William  Hanly  &  Bridget Cussen. 

Timothy Crowley,  a  native  of  the  Kilcummin  area  of  Co. Kerry  &  Mary  Hanly   were  married  in  Emly  RC  on  the  23-01-1906.

Bridget  Crowley’s  sister , Mary  Josephine  (Mamie), born  21-05-1920,  is  interred  at  memorial  number  0636. 

Her  brother  William  Crowley,  born  14-04-1911 is  interred  at  memorial  number   0637. 

A   plaque  on  the  ground  at  0637  refers  to  her  parents  Timothy  &  Mary  Crowley  and  two  other  of  her  siblings,  Jerry,  born  15-04-1910  and  Pauline,  born  01-07-1907. 

Another  sibling  was  the  first  born,  William,  in  1906.  He  died ,  aged  3,  of  cancer  of  the  tongue  on  the  15-04-1910.

Tommy Lavery 1951-2017, son-in-law of Stephen McInerney 1909-1965 & Bridget Crowley 1916-2007 and husband of ther daughter Rose died on the 3rd Jun 2017 and was interred in Hospital cemetery, Co. Limerick. His obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred of Tom ( Tommy ) Lavery of Castlefarm, Hospital, Co. Limerick. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Rose and sister Ann, extended family and friends.

Reposing at O'Leary's Funeral Home, Hospital tomorrow, Sunday, from 4.30pm with removal at 6.30pm to St John the Baptist Church, Hospital. Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick ( Paddy ) McInerney 1945-2023, son of Stephen McInerney 1909-1965 & Bridget Crowley 1916-2007, died on the 18th Nov 2023 and was interred at this memorial on Tues 21st Nov 2023. His obituary reads as follows :

Paddy McInerney ( Paddy Mc ) of Castlerkin, Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick & formerly of Emly, Co. Tipperary, on November 18th 2023, peacefully at Nenagh Hospital.  Sadly missed by his loving wife Nellie, daughter Dawn, son Steve, son-in-law Dermot, daughter-in-law Julie-Anne, grandchildren, greatgrandchild Millie-Mae, sisters Mary, Rose and Breda, brothers Bill and Sean, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

 Reposing at Ryan & Whites Funeral Home Pallasgreen Monday evening (20th November) from 5.30 pm until 7.30 pm.  Arriving in St. Ailbe’s Church Emly Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11.30 am with burial afterwards in Emly cemetery.
