NB. James Ryan (1856-1910), son of Michael Ryan (1817-1898) & Mary Sheehan (1825-1905), married Johanna (Hannah) Quinlan ( 1863-1956), daughter of Ballyhone farmer, Maurice Quinlan (1830-1876) & Mary Waters (1832-1874) in Emly RC on the 26-02-1895.
Their only son, Michael was born December 1895.
Michael Ryan (1817-1898) was the son of James Ryan & Bridget Meara.
His wife, Mary Sheehan (1825-1905) was the daughter of Edmond Sheehan & Ellen McGrath of Knocklong parish, Co. Limerick.
Michael Ryan & Mary Sheehan were married in Knocklong RC on the 01-02-1850.
Children were Ellen 1851, Bridget 1852, James 1856, Patrick 1858, Margaret 1862 and Edmond 1864.
James Ryan (1856-1910), died, aged 54, on the 19-05-1910 as a result of gangrene appendicitis.
Siobhan Ryan ( 1972-1977), daughter of James ( Jimmy) Ryan & Marie Walsh of Ballinvreena, Emly.
Siobhan Ryan's father, Jimmy Ryan (1929-2021) , grandson of James Ryan (1856-1910) & Johanna Quinlan (1863-1956) of this memorial and son of Michael Ryan (1895-1986) & Mary O'Kelly (1893-1976) of memorial 0352, died in his 92nd year on the 12-01-2021 and was interred here on Thursday 14-01-2021. Jimmy's funeral took place during Covid 19 restrictions.
At the time of his death, Jimmy Ryan was survived by his wife Marie, nee Walsh, by sons Michael, Ailbe & James, by daughters Maureen, Annemarie, Marguerite & Teresa & by his sister Joan Brazil of Kilmallock, Co. Limerick
