Marriage in Emly RC on the 31-1-1856. Died  15-9-1920.

NB. William  McGrath, who died in 1945, was the son of  William  McGrath & Amelia  Ryan. 

Amelia was a native of  Commanealine,  Doon parish, Co. Limerick. Marriage was in Doon  RC on the 9-10-1876.

The 1911 Census  records that there were 10 surviving children out of a total of 12 that were born to William & Amelia McGrath.

William  Ailbe  McGrath  1892-1945, son  of  William  McGrath  & Amelia  Ryan,  married  Mary  Hanley  1900-1959, of  memorial  0325, daughter  of  John  Hanley  1840-1909  &  Mary  Anne  Ryan  1868-1951  of  Farranassa,  Emly  in  St  James  RC,  Dublin  on  the  29th  Nov  1922.

Their  family  included  Amelia ( Amy)  McGrath  1923-2005,  John  Joe  1925-2000, of this memorial , Mary  Angela  1927-2003,  William  Ailbe ( Liam )  1931-1994  &  Donie  1939-1992  who  are interred  in  Emly’s  new  cemetery.

John  Joe  McGrath  1925-2000,  married  Catherine  ( Kitty )  McCarthy  1930-2022, daughter  of   William  ( Bill )  McCarthy  1894-1977, also  known  as  The  Yank  &  Kate  McCarthy  1897- 1975  of  Ballyhoulihan,  Emly,  Co.  Tipperary.

Siblings  of  Kitty  McGrath, nee  McCarthy  1930-2022  included  Thomas  McCarthy  1924-2000,  Mary  1927-2016,  Nancy  1928-2015,  William  1936, Brenda  &  Joseph  (Joe )  1938-1991.  The  McCarthy  family  burial  plot  is  in  Cullen  cemetery,  Co. Tipperary.

Kitty  McGrath , nee  McCarthy  1930-2022,  died  on  the  10th  Dec  2022  and  was  interred  at  this  memorial  on  Tues  13th  Dec  2022.
