Norah O'Brien, daughter-in-law of William O'Brien 1896-1981 & Josie, nee Ryan 1905-1994 and wife of their son John O' Brien, died on the 12th Jun 2021. Her obituary reads as follows :
The death has occurred of Norah O'Brien (née) Ryan - Cooney of Bartoose, Emly, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Upperchurch, Co. Tipperary. Peacefully, in the loving care of Milford Care Centre, Limerick. Predeceased by her loving parents Tom and Eileen and her infant brother Conor; Deeply regretted by her loving family, husband John, sons Thomas and Joseph, daughter Mary, her aunt Jonie, sisters Mary, Eileen and Josephine, brothers John, Tom, Gerard, Michael, Pat and Martin, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews,cousins, relatives and many friends.
Requiem Mass in Emly RC on Monday, 14th June, at 1pm. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
Norah O' Brien's name was added to this memorial in early Mar 2022 and the entire plot was stoned.
Norah's brother - in - law, William ( Liam ) O'Brien, died in his 77th year on the 9th May 2024. His obituary reads as follows :
The death has occurred of Liam O'Brien of Churchtown, Dublin and formerly of Emly, Co.Tipperary
Liam, formerly of A.I.B., passed away peacefully after a short illness in the Blackrock Clinic with his family by his side. Predeceased by his brother Eddie, brother-in-law Brendan and sister-in-law Norah. He will be deeply missed and remembered with much love and affection by his beloved wife Kathleen, son Gareth, daughter Caroline, his cherished grandchildren Robbie, Darragh and Molly, daughter-in-law Ciara, son-in-law Tim, sister Eleanor, brother John, sisters-in-law Mary K, Sheila, Mary, Angela, and Anne, brothers-in-law Michael, John and Michael, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at his residence on Sunday 12th May from 4pm to 6pm. Removal on Monday morning 13th May to the Church of the Good Shepherd, Churchtown arriving for funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial at Mount Venus cemetery.
