Ballycurrane, Emly.

John Daly 1800-1878, son of Michael Daly 1773-1818 of this memorial 0169, married Catherine Ryan 1810-1851 in Pallasgrean parish, Co. Limerick on Feb 22nd 1830. Their son Michael Daly 1845-1928, married Mary Sheedy 1859-1933, daughter of Michael Sheedy & Mary Martin of Dunmoon, Elton, Co. Limerick on Mar 1st 1886 in Knocklong RC, Co. Limerick.

Children born to them  included Ellen Daly 1886-1886, John Joseph 1888-1954, Catherine 1889, William ( Willie ) 1891-1940, Catherine ( Katie ) 1893-1968,  Mary Anne 1899 & Eliza (Lily) 1901-1983.

John Joseph Daly 1888-1954 became a priest and died in Kent, Washinton, USA on Nov 1st 1954.

William ( Willie ) Daly  1891-1940, of this plaque, married Bridget Ryan 1917-1976, daughter of Thomas Ryan & Mary Woods of Cloughaready, Rodus, Co. Tipperary on Aug 31st 1938 in St Josephs RC, Limerick City. Their daughter Mary Daly 1939-2003 married Cornelius J ( Connie ) Ryan 1934-2020, son of Patrick Martin Ryan 1908-1978 & Mary  (Mai) Meaney 1906-1993 of Raleighstown, Grange, Co. Limerick. At the time of his death on Apr 10th 2020, Connie Ryan of Ballycurrane, Emly, was survived by his son Pat & daughters Breda, Martina and Caroline.

Catherine ( Katie ) Daly 1893-1968, married William John O’Meara 1885-1967, son of William O’Meara 1842-1919 & Mary Ryan 1843-1929 of Bartoose, Emly on Feb 27th 1922 in Emly RC. Katie was interred at memorial 0502 in this cemetery. See notes for that memorial for details of her children.

Eliza ( Lily ) Daly 1901-1983, married William  (Willie ) Hanly 1895-1936, son of Timothy Hanly  - 1908 & Bridget Devane 1853-1945 of Killeenagallive, Rodus, Co. Tipperary on Feb 17th 1934 in Emly RC. Lily is interred in Emly’s new cemetery with her son Tim’s wife Breda Hanly.
