NB.  Patrick (Pat)  Buckley 1919-1957 was a native of Ballylanders parish, Co. Limerick and a son of  Ballylanders National School teacher John Buckley 1877-1947  &  his  wife  Winifred  Buckley 1890-1963.   ( See memorial  LI-GLBL-0092  in  Galbally cemetery, Co. Limerick for relevant details).

Pat  Buckley's  sister  Mary  Ellen ( Nell )  Ryan  1919-1996  &  her  husband  Patrick  ( Paddy )  Ryan  1909-1998  are interred  in  Emly's  new  cemetery.

Pat Buckley's   wife, Mary Catherine Buckley, nee  Ryan,  celebrated  her 105th  birthday on the 11th September 2019.

Mary Catherine Buckley (1914-2020)  died  at Chancellorsland, Emly on Monday 10-08-2020 just over a month shy of her 106th birthday. She was Emly's longest living resident. She was interred on Thursday 13-08-2020 at memorial number 0087 which was erected by her maternal great great grandfather  John  Adams to his wife Elizabeth White who died aged 30 years in 1793.

Mary Catherine's grandmother was Anne Adams (1834-1922), daughter of  John Adams (1791-1869) & Mary Kinkead (1791-1866), who married William Ryan (1825-1917) in Emly RC on the 11-02-1860.

Mary Catherine's  mother was  Anne Ryan (1873-1957) who married William Ryan (Simon) 1868-1954, son of Patrick Ryan (1821-1904) & Catherine O'Neill (1838-1897) of Cross, Pallasgrean, Co. Limerick in Emly RC on the 20-02-1912.

At the time of her death, Mary Catherine Buckley, nee Ryan (1914-2020) was survived by her immediate family of son John Buckley and daughters  Ann Buckley & Esther Murphy. Her funeral took place during the time of  Covid-19 restrictions which limited Church admisions etc.

Ann Buckley (1948-2020), daughter and eldest child  of  Pat Buckley of this memorial  & his wife  Mary Catherine Buckley, nee Ryan (1914-2020) died on the 04-10-2020, some two months after her mother's passing and was interred at this memorial on Tuesday  06-10-2020. Her funeral also took place during the period of Covid restrictions.

Ann was a former employee of Aer Lingus. At the time of her death,she was survived by her immediate family of brother John Buckley and her sister Esther Murphy.
