Danny Moloney, born 15-06-1888 in Ballyhea, Co. Cork to parents William Moloney & Mary Anne O'Brien was a member of the East Limerick Brigade of the IRA during the War of Independence and his sister May Moloney, born 05-11-1894 at 46 York St. Cork city was a prominent member of the 2nd Battalion , East Limerick Brigade of Cumann na mBan. See Lackelly Ambush in May 1921 and the Bureau of Military History.
Danny Moloney married Catherine O'Donnell in Knocklong RC, Co. Limerick on the 10-02-1926. Catherine died of cancer in St. John's Hospital, Rathgar, Dublin on the 31st Jan 1958.
Their son Donal Moloney (1927-1999), born in Stretford, Manchester on the 7th Nov 1927, married Catherine (Kitty) Cahill (1933-2017), daughter of Michael Cahill (1910-1990) & Mary O'Brien (1914-1999) of memorial number 0249.
Donal died in Brockton, Massachusetts on the 21st Feb 1999. His wife Kitty died there also on the 03-10-2017. She was survived by daughters Cathy Boyd (James) & Anne.Kerwin (Raymond) and by grandsons Michael & Donal Boyd.
May Moloney (1894-1967) married James Clogher / Clair in Manchester , UK in 1935. Their son James Clogher / Clair was born there in 1935. He married Veronica Stead in Leeds, UK in 1961. Children born to them in Manchester UK were Catherine M Clair in 1963 and Damian Clair in 1965.
