May Oliver's husband, Richard Thomas Beamish, known as Dickie, died on 26th September 1939 at Hare Hill, Bandon.
He married Amy Oliver Smithwick, Summerhill, Bandon on 23rd January 1889 at Christ Church, Kilbrogan. They had no issue and Hare Hill was sold after his death in 1939 to Paddy Canniffe of Cappa, Bandon.
Richard Thomas Beamish was the last Beamish Master of the Carbery Hounds.
His home at Hare Hill was burnt on 13th April 1923 at the end of the Irish Civil War. It was rebuilt about 1925-1926 by Michael Walsh, Gaggin
