Hewitt Poole Baldwin was born in Kilmurry and was married to Elizabeth Kingston in 1824.  He was the son of Henry Baldwin (who died 1791 and who lived at Lisarda, Crookstown and Old Court) who married Catherine Morriss in 1824.  Hewitt's was one of 10 children, William, Henry, Jonas, Abraham, Hungerford, Richard, Mary, Catherine and Dorothy

They had the following children:-

  • Hester (eldest daughter) who married Lindsay Winterbotham Welsford in 1863 in the Scots Church Bandon.  Lindsay was the son of Rev Henry Welsford of Tewkesbury.
