Richard Clear married Jane Lovell on 29th April 1810 at Christ Church. They had at least: Richard born 1811, Thomas born 1812 & died 1870 (buried here), William born 1815 and Elizabeth born 1817.
Their son Thomas who was born in 1812 married Mary Robinson (whose family are also buried at Christ Church) on 23rd September 1838 at Christ Church. They had at least two children: Richard who was born in 1846 and Mary Jane who was born in 1840 and died on 18th June 1856 of TB .
Richard, JP who was born in 1846 and died on 26th April 1917 was a methodist. He married Elizabeth Belcher in 1870. They had four children: Emma Mary, Thomas Albert, Mabel Elizabeth and Richard William. Richard lived at Kilbrogan House from 1892 to 1895. He also lived for a time at Janesville (now Eversleigh) and in 1901 was backing living on Kilbrogan Hill. In 1870 he was recorded as owning 345 acres in Bandon. He was a town commissioner in 1884. In 1907 his occupation was recorded as County Council representative to the Joint Technical Instruction Committee for County Cork and Chairman of the Bandon Technical Instruction Committee in Guys Directory of 1907.
