WEST FACE:Sacred to the memory of RICHARD FITZGERALD ESQ, Muckridge House in this county.

He was son of RICHd, son of WILLm, who was son of JOHN FITZGERALD ESQ. of MorrIstown, Co.Kildare,

who died the 9th April 1840, aged 71 years.

Also of his daughter CATHERINE HELEN who died the 5th Jan 1824 aged 11 years.

Requiescant in pace.

SOUTH FACE: This monument was erected to his beloved father and beloved sister by RICHARD ALBERT FITZGERALD, M.P and J.P.  who in the 41st year of his age, on the 10th June 1847, fell a victim to the famine fever, caught in the discharge of his duties as chief Commissioner. He was much respected and deeply lamented. R.I.P.
