Mary Martin, nee Dalton, from Newtown, near Castlecomer, was married to John Martin, Inch, Freshford. They Had 4 daughters. One a Mrs Butler, Knockroe, Mrs Nolan, Blackwood, the other 2 emigrated to America. Mary died and John Martin remarried. His son Paddy inherited the Dalton land in Newtown. It was subsequently sold to Lawless' Newtown.
