New Years Eve Celebrations in Dublin (From the Dailyshift.com website)

The Historic Graves Project have had a very busy and exciting 2012 working with rural and urban communities to record their historic graveyards. The database of graveyards, memorials and stories is growing rapidly and new entries are being added everyday. The national map is filling up and you can explore and search the databse freely as communities add their survey records.

The project would like to mark the new year by highlighting the five most read posts from 2012. Thanks for reading and we hope you will continue to enjoy the posts during 2013. It promises to be a busy year and the Gathering 2013 promoted by Failte Ireland offers us all an opportunity to reflect on what it means to be Irish.  We have some exciting up-coming projects and are looking forward to letting you know all about them. From all the team here at Historic Graves have a happy and prosperous New Year.
