This memorial is a wall plaque loated inside the nearby Kilshannig Church. Rev.Lombard was related to the Lombards of Lombardstown House who provided the site in 1821 where the first church in Glantane parish was erected and which then gave its name to the Catholic Parish. The lombards also provided about 6 acres of land across the road from Glantane Church in 1822 where a Protestant school and teacher residence were built. The Rev.Lombard received the property on behalf of the Representative Church body, perhaps he influenced that transaction.
