Erected
by Michael Mc Namara of Lisboy in
memory of his beloved son John who
departed this life the 5th May 1870
while making the last year of his
studies for the priesthood in the
college of maynooth where he was
esteemed for his many virtues by his
superiors and fellow students he
contracted an insidious disease
to which he fell a victim
on the 24 year of his age
his death was like his life
holy calm and resigned
precious in the sight of the lord
is the death of his saint
may he rest in peace
amen
