Jeremiah Ryan, son of John Ryan of Cromhill, Kilteely, married Mary Anne Halpin, daughter of James  Halpin of Baggotstown, Co. Limerick on the 8th Feb 1888 in Knockaney RC, Co. Limerick. The groom’s age was recorded as 36 yrs and the bride’s as 30.

Children born to them at Cromhill were Ellen Ryan on the 29th Oct 1888 and John on the 10th Jul 1891.

John Ryan 1891-1959, married Margaret Hennessy 1901-1979, daughter of Laurence Hennessy & Julia English of Lisvernane, Co. Tipperary on the 26th Oct 1927 in Lisvernane RC.  

Laurence Hennessy’s father was also called Laurence  Julia English, daughter of Michael English was a native of Anglesborough, Co. Limerick.

Jeremiah ( Jerry ) Ryan 1928-2002, son of John Ryan 1891-1959 & Margaret Hennessy 1901-1979, married Patricia O’Meara 1929-2025. Patricia died on the 28th Jan 2025 and was interred in Emly cemetery, Co. Tipperary on the 30th Jan at her parents memorial  TS-EMOG-0502 on the historicgraves website.  Her obituary reads as follows :

Particia Ryan ( neé ) O'Meara of Cromhill, Kilteely, Co. Limerick  and formerly of Bartoose, Emly, Co. Tipperary, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the excellent care of the staff at St. Anthony's Nursing Home, Pallasgreen on the 28th January 2025, in her 96th year.

 Predeceased by her beloved husband Jerry, sisters Marie, Josephine, Kathleen, brothers John, Willie, Tim, Michael and Paschal. Sadly missed by her loving family, John, Catherine, Jerry, Laurence and Willie.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters in law, son in law, grandchildren, great grandson, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.

 Patricia will be reposing at Davern's Funeral Home, Hospital, Co. Limerick  onWednesday 29th January from 5.30pm until 7pm. Funeral cortége arriving at the Church of Ss. Patrick & Brigid, Kilteely onThursday afternoon 30th January for Requiem mass at 2.30pm with burial afterwards in Emly Cemetery.
