Paddy and Mollie were married in March 1959 and lived near Kilmoylan. In the 1960’s they moved to England. After Paddy’s death Mollie returned to her native Rathdowney in County Laois.
Every year, until her own death, Mollie returned to Kilmoylan on her husband’s anniversary. She had always intended to erect a headstone to replace the wooden cross. Sadly, this was not possible in her lifetime.
