In memory of his beloved 

eldest son.

William Minchin Stacpoole

aged 11 years who accidently

came by his death on the 1st

of July 1862 at the crossroads

at  Newtown by the upsetting

of a donkey's car which he

was driving alone to school

Bewarn my friends not to mourn or weep

While in my silent grave I sleep

Deceitful world I leave behind
