John Kearney, son of Edmond Kearney of Tiermore, Ballygrennan, Co. Limerick, married Catherine (Kate) Power, daughter of Cornelius Power of Mortgage, Rathmore, Co, limerick on Jul 30th 1889 in Meanus RC, Co. Limerick. Kate died on Apr 8th 1926 and her husband John died on Jun 10th 1937.

Children born to John & Kate at Tiermore included  Edmond  Kearney 1890, Bridget 1891, Cornelius 1893, Ellen Mary (Nelly) 1895, Catherine (Kathleen ) 1896 and John Joseph (of this memorial) on Jun 15th 1898.

John Joseph Kearney 1898-1965, married Nora Daly 1908-1967, daughter of Patrick Daly 1848-1913 & Maria McCarthy 1872-1952 of Ballygeagoge, Kilfinane, Co. Limerick on Jun 28th 1941 in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin.

Nora Daly was born on Mar 24th 1908 in Ballygeagoge.
