Michael  Torpey (1884-1959) was born 12-04-1884 in Martinstown, Co. Limerick to parents John Torpey & Margaret McCarthy.

Michael's wife, Mary Walsh (1895-1980) was born in Ballycahill, Hospital, Co. Limerick on the 23-11-1895 to parents John Walsh & Bridget Fenton, who were married in Hospital RC, Co. Limerick on the 15-01-1895. John Walsh was a widower when he married  Bridget Fenton.
