Headstone erected by his grandson Ned O'Brien in March 2014. Ned remebered his father bringing in the sod from the farm in Coolboy to cover his grandfather. Members of the later family are buried in the New Graveyard on the right beside the gate. William and Bridget had eight children; Ned, Roger ( father of Ned at Castlegate), William, Mick, Dan, Tom, Bridget, Ellen. William is buried with his wife Bridget nee O'Donnell, died 1927, and his grandson Roger 1931 aged one and half years.

Ned took the stone from the home farm in Coolboy.
