some of the Headstone has broken off    - right hand side as you are facing the headstone
with the result we dont know what is the Edmd's surname

also   the word "the" back in the 1700's sometimes was written as a Y with a small e up high either to the right of it or actually directly above it as in this case - take a closer look with your cursor and you will see it.
