Kilworth

Church from 1720s probably built on the site of a former medieval parish church. The 1720s church was Church of Ireland affiliated but the early gravestones are mixed Catholic and Protestant - the older Catholic families indicating this was a long-used burial ground and their concentration south of the church suggests the older building (even if in ruins) was the defining geographic feature in the churchyard and likely underlies the current church.
