Assylin

Surveyed in 2019 as part of a community project funded by the Heritage Council and Roscommon County Council. Organised by heritage officer Nollaig Feeney the local community group was steered by Christy Brady & Marie Paul with assistance from Tom Mullaney and Padraig Ryan. Overlooking the Boyle river this graveyard is extensive and one of the larger burial grounds we have worked in. The graveyard can be seen from the Dublin to Sligo railway line, which is only 70 m south of the site.
