Denis   Hanley,   &   family  were  living   in  Ballyvistea ,  Emly  when   the   1911  census   was  taken   in  April   1911  but  were  living  in  Gurteen ,   Emly  when  his  son   David  was  born  later  in  that  year   1911.

Denis   Hanley (1876-1958), son of  William Hanley &  Bridget  Cussen,   married  Anastatia  (Hannah)  Kelly 1875-1925,  daughter of Charles Kelly  in  Emly  RC on the 23-04-1899.    

Children   born   to  them   included    William  Hanley   1900,  Charles   1901,  Timothy  1903,   Michael   1904,   Bridget   1906-1999,   Denis   1907,   John   1909,    Johanna   1910-1979,  David   1911,   Christopher   1913  &   Elizabeth   1915.

Denis  Hanley (1876-1958), a  widower,  married  Josephine  (Josie)  Fogarty, daughter  of  John  Fogarty  in  Knocklong  RC  on the 03-06-1933.

Children born to them included  Denis Hanley  (1934-2017),  Charles 1936, David 1937, Christopher 1938, William 1939, Patrick 1941, James 1943  & Thomas 1945.

Denis Hanley  (1934-2017) , aged  82,  died  in Bloxwick , Walsall, West  Midlands,  UK  on the 18th  March  2017 and was interred  here on Tuesday 04-04-2017.  At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Lilian M, nee Whitehouse, sons Patrick, Martin, Darren & Shane,  daughters  Tracey, Dawn, Jo-Anne,  Nulian &  Emily and by his brothers Christy  &  Paddy  Hanley.

His brother, Christopher (Christy) Hanley (1938-2021), aged 83, died in St Anthony's Nursing Home in Pallasgrean, Co. Limerick on the 30th Sep 2021 and was interred at this memorial on Sun 3rd Oct. At the time of his death, he was survived by his brother Paddy Hanley.
