Catherine  Clancy  (1831-1913), daughter   of   John  Clancy   &   Bridget   Blute  /  Bluett   of   Lackelly ,  married   John   Quillinan  of   Laurencetown   in   Emly   RC   on   the  15-04-1866.

The   James   Clanchy  /  Clancy  who  had  this  stone  erected  and   the   James   Clancy   who   died   in  1897  are  one  and  the  same  person.   James  was  baptised   in   Knockainy   RC ,  Co.  Limerick  on  the  31-01-1812.  Parents   were   John  Clancy   &   Bridget  Blute  /  Bluett. 

John   Clanchy  /  Clancy  of    Knocklong ,  Co.  Limerick    and   Bridget   Blute /  Bluett   of   Baggotstown ,  Co.  Limerick   were   married   in   Knockainy   RC,  Co.  Limerick    on  the  20-02-1811

 Siblings   of   James   Clancy  (1812-1897)  that   are  recorded   on  this  stone  are   Catherine  Quillinan ,  nee  Clancy   (1831-1913)  and   Thomas   Clancy   (1833-1862).   Both   were   baptised   in  Emly   RC.

James   Clancy  (1812-1897),  married   Winifred  O’Brien  (1838-1898),  daughter   of   Denis  O’Brien   &   Margaret   Hayes   of   Duntryleague,   Galbally ,  Co.  Limerick  in   Galbally  RC   on  the  13-02-1866. 

Children   born   included   John  Clancy  1866-1878,  Denis  1868-1933,  Margaret  1870,   Bridget   1872,   Margaret   1874,   Mary  Anne   (1876-1960),  Winifred   1877  &   John   1880-1958.

Bridget   Clancy  (1872 -1936) ,  daughter   of   James   Clancy  (1812-1897)  &   Winifred  O’Brien  (1838-1898)  of   Lackelly ,  married    Denis   Richardson  (1850 - 1934),  son   of   Thomas   Richardson   &   Margaret   Staunton   of   Galbally ,   Co.   Limerick   in   Emly   RC   on  the   22-02-1898.  Denis  Richardson  was baptised  in  Galbally  RC  on the 27-11-1850.

Children   born  to  Denis  Richardson  &  Bridget  Clancy  were   Margaret   Richardson   1899,   Thomas   1900,   James   1901,  Winifred   1902-1907,   Mary   1904,  Denis   1905-1968   &   Maurice   1908-1973.

NB.  Probable  error  for  the  birth   year  for  the  Bridget  Clanchy /  Clancy , nee Blute /  Bluett,   who  is  recorded  as  having  died  in  1855, aged  53.  Age  at death  was  more  than  likely  63, which  would  mean  that  she  was born  in 1792  and  would  make  more  sense  because  she  married  John  Clanchy / Clancy  (1793-1865)  in  1811  and  their  son  James  Clanchy  / Clancy was  born  in  1812.
