Thomas Duhig was born in Knocklong , Co. Limerick on the 03-06-1866, to parents Denis Duhig & Mary Treacy. He was employed as a groom and servant by Canon Maurice Power P.P of Emly.
In Emly RC , on the 22-10-1903, Thomas Duhig married Winifred Fitzgerald, daughter of Patrick & Ellen (Helen ) Fitzgerald of Emly. Helen Fitzgerald was the sexton of Emly RC.

Denis John 1908-1971. Died in Columbia , NY , U.S.A.
Patrick Joseph (Paddy) 1910-1978. Married Margaret (Maggie) Ferns (1914-1998), daughter of William Ferns & Bridget Flynn of Hospital , Co. Limerick in 1955. Both Paddy & Maggie Duhig were Church sextons of Emly RC .
Thomas ( Tommy ) 1912-1994. Married Margaret (Peggy) Cullen 1920-1980, daughter of primary school teacher, John H Cullen & his wife Johanna O’Reilly of Kilross , Co. Tipperary in 1943. Tommy was a primary school teacher and taught locally in Knockarron NS as well as at various schools in Dublin. Tommy Duhig died on Christmas Day 1994. Both he and his wife are interred in Galbally cemetery , Co. Limerick.
Robert 1914-1983. A half –twin. Married Margaret Mary Torpey (1915-1985) of Darnstown, Co. Limerick in 1934. Had a family , some of whom were born in Ireland and included Thomas 1934, Philomena 1935, Winifred 1937, Patrick J 1939 , Teresa 1942-1992 & Mary 1946. The family emigrated to London and children born here included Robert I 1954, Adrian D 1956-1975 & Geraldine A 1957. Both Robert Duhig (1914-1983) and his wife Margaret (1915-1985) died at 113 Lanark Rd, Maida Vale, London..
Joseph (Jobie) 1914-1992. A half-twin. Emigrated to the UK and married Dorothy E (Dobby) Dent there in 1941. Children born were Elaine G 1946-2012 and Sandra A 1954.
Elaine G Duhig 1946-2012 married Martin Pryce . Had a son Joe Pryce, who is a presenter on Tipperary Mid-West radio. Elaine Pryce, nee Duhig , died in Galbally , Co. Limerick on the 16-09-2012 and was interred in her father Jobie’s burial plot 0629 in the old cemetery in Emly on Wednesday 19-09-2012.
Her mother , Dorothy E ( Dobby ) Duhig , nee Dent , also died in Galbally , Co. Limerick on the 03-05-2014 and was also interred in the family plot in Emly on Tuesday 06-05-2014.
Dorothy’s daughter , Sandra A Duhig , born 1954, married Michael A Johns in 1973 in Surrey UK. Children born were Leo 1987 and Sam 1989.
