Patrick  O’Dwyer  (1865-1927) , aged  21,  son  of  labourer  John   O’Dwyer   of  the  Cross  of  the  Tree ,  married  28  yr  old  dressmaker  Ann  Ryan ,  daughter   of  carpenter   Patrick  Ryan  of  Ballyscadane ,  in  Knocklong   RC   on  the  24-06-1886.

Children  born  to  them  were   Ellen O’Dwyer  1887-1944,  Patrick  1888,  Michael  1890-1932,  John  1893-1962,  Thomas  1894-1954, Catherine  1896 ,  Edmond   1897-1915  &   Joseph  1900.

Tommy  O  Dwyer ,  who  died   on  the  30-05-2009  was  a  son  of   John   (Jack)  O’Dwyer   (1893-1962).   Tommy   was   kennel   huntsman   and   whipper   in  with  the  local  Scarteen   Hunt   for  many   years.  

Tommy   was  interred  in  the  new  cemetery   in   Knocklong .

At  the  time  of  his  death,  he  was  survived  by  his  wife   Annette,   sons   James  &  John  and  his  sister   Mary.

Tommy's wife Annette O' Dwyer died on the 28th Nov 2024. Her obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred of Annette O'Dwyer ( née ) O'Dwyer of Ballyscaddane, Knocklong, Co Limerick. Annette passed away peacefully on Thursday, 28th November 2024, in the loving care of Limerick University Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Tommy, and parents Jack and Kitty. Beloved mother of John and James. Sadly missed by her loving sons, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

 Lying in repose in St. Joseph's Church, Knocklong on Friday Nov. 29th from 6 to 7:30pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday Nov. 30th at 2:30pm after which Annette will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
