John C Bourke , (1875-1971) , known as Johnny (Mun) Bourke , born on the 12-07-1875 at Colboy, Emly to parents Edmond Bourke (1829-1903) & Mary Crowe (1839-1905) . John's siblings included William Bourke 1860, David 1863, Bridget 1866-1941, Mary 1868, Johanna 1869, Ellen 1872, William1874, Catherine 1877 & Edmond 1879 -1965.
Bridget Bourke (1866-1941) referred to here, married George Crean Lynch (1847-1939) in Rathmines RC, Dublin on the 02-04-1913 and resided at 40 Iona Crescent, Glasnevin, Dublin.
John C Bourke ( 1875-1971) married Helena ( Lena ) Daly (1895-1990), daughter of Patrick Daly & Maria McCarthy of Ballygeagogue, Kilfinane, Co. Limerick on the 04-03-1919 in Kilfinane RC.
Their daughter Bridget Bourke, aged 95, died on the 23-11-2017 at the Shrewsbury nursing home, Clonliffe Rd, Dublin and was interred in this plot on Saturday the 25-11-2017, having been recently predeceased by her sister Theresa (Terry) who died in New Zealand.
Bridget Bourke,, at the time of her death, was survived by her sisters Helena Mary ( Helen ), Sheila & Maisie ( Sr. Theresa)
A new headstone was erected to Bridget (1922-2017) to the left of this memorial some time after the cemetery survey was completed in 2016.
Helena Mary ( Helen ) Dabrowski 1928-2025, daugter of John C Bourke 1875-1971, and wife of Stefan W Dabrowski, died in her 97th year in Lymington, Hants, UK on the 21st Aug 2025..Her obituary reads as follows :
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sad passing of Helena Mary Dabrowski of Lyndhurst, UK and formerly Coolboy, Emly, Co. Tipperary, who passed away on August 21st, 2025 in the loving care of New Forest Nursing Home, in her 97th year. Pre-deceased by her parents John and Lena Bourke, husband Stefan, her brother little Ned, and sisters Theresa, Sheila, Bridget, Maisie (Sr. Theresa), and Joan.
Much-loved mother of Henry and Maria. Sadly missed by her loving son and daughter, son-in-law Martin and daughter-in-law Liz, grandchildren Max and Kate, nephews David, Charles, Vincent, Neil, and Paul, nieces Janet and Christine, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
Helena Mary's coffin was interred at this memorial on Sat 20th Sep 2025
