Ballinagrana, Emly.

David  (Davy )  Burke , born  27-11-1911 in  Tulla , Emly.  He  was  the  tenth  child  of   twelve  that  were  born  to   Mick   Burke  (1876-1948)  &   Julia  O’Brien  (1874-1950).  One died in infancy and the other was about two years old.

Davy  Burke (1911-1990)  married   Mary  O’Brien  (1915-1999) , daughter of Denis O'Brien  & Sarah Holloway  of   Oola,  Co.  Limerick in Emly RC  on  the  17-03-1937.  Mary  was interred  in  St.  Michaels  cemetery  in  Tipperary  Town. 

They  had  five  children,  Michael  Burke ,  Denis (1945-2017) ,  Julia  May,  Bridie  &  Ailbe.

Julia  Burke (nee) Green  (1941-2004) , daughter - in-law of  Davy Burke (1911-1990) died suddenly on the 31st Mar 2004 at  1 St. Ailbes Drive Emly and was interred in Emly's new cemetery. At the time of her death, Julia was predeceased by her son Peter Burke (1969-1976) and was  survived by her immediate family of husband Michael Burke & sons David, Michael, Brendan, Patrick, Kevin & Garry.

Denis Burke (1945-2017), son of Davy Burke (1911-1990) & Mary O'Brien (1915-1999) died on the 19-03-2017 in Rockingham, Western Australia. He was survived by his immediate family of wife Maureen, nee Dyson and sons Derek & Sean Burke.

Brendan  Burke (1964-2001), aged 56, son of Michael Burke & Julia Green (1941-2004) died at Gort Na Manach, Emly on the 30th July 2021 and was interred with his mother Julia in Emly's new cemetery on Tuesday 3rd Aug 2021. At the time of his death, Brendan Burke was survived by his immeiate family of son Peter, father Michael Burke & brothers David, Michael, Patrick, Kevin & Garry.
