William  Gubbins   married   Margaret   Daly  in  Emly  RC  on  the  17-09-1834.  Children  born  to  them  were  Ellen  Gubbins  1835,  John  1836 -1915, Anne  1837,  James  1839,  Ailbe  1840, Anne  1841  &  Margaret  1844.

John  Gubbins  (1836-1915) of  Ballycurrane,  Emly,  married  Margaret  Canty  (1841-1922), daughter  of  Michael  Canty   &  Margaret   Kenny  of  Gormanstown , Co. Limerick  in  Bulgaden  RC  on  the  14-10-1869. 

Children  born  to  them  were  Margaret  Gubbins  1870,  William  1871,  Anne  1872,  Michael  1874, William  1876 -1926 Ailbe  1878,  Ellen  1880,  John  1882  &  James  1885.

William  Gubbins  (1876-1926) of  Ballycurrane , married  Anne  Quinlan  (1882-1947 ) , daughter  of  Daniel  Quinlan & Ann  Quillinane / Quillinan of  Ballywire , Kilross, Co. Tipperary in Galbally RC, Co. Limerick on the 12-02-1918

Children  born  to  them  were  John  Gubbins 1919-1971,  Michael  (1921-1977) of this memorial  &  Daniel (Dan)  (1925-1995).

Thomas Hourigan 1886-1944, son of Michael Hourigan & Mary Anne Kelly of Shronell, Co. Tipperary, married Emma Kiely 1890-1969, daughter of William Kiely & Julia Henebry of Longford, Clonbeg, Co. Tipperary on the 28th Feb 1927 in Lisvernane RC, Clonbeg, Co. Tipperary.

Children born to them at Shronell, Co. Tipperary, included Mary Anne Hourigan 1928, Julia M 1929-2011 of this memorial, Michael 1930, William 1932 & Gerald 1934-2022.

Gerald  Hourigan 1934-2022 died on the 6th Apr 2022. His obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred of Gerald Hourigan of Carron, Tipperary Town, Co Tipperary & formerly of Shronell, Co. Tipperary on the 6th Apr 2022,peacefully in the tender and exceptional care of all at St. Anthony’s Nursing Home, Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick. 

Predeceased by his beloved wife Lucy (Barlow). Deeply regretted by his loving family, daughters Geraldine (Petch) & Eilish (Arkwright) & son Gerard, brother Michael, sons-in-law Tim & Evan, daughter-in-law Alma, adored grandchildren Sarah, Jamie, Harry, Lucy, Harry, Sam, Alexandra & Isobel, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours & friends.

Arriving at St. Michael’s Church, Tipperary Town at 11.45am Saturday (April 9th) for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon, followed by burial immediately afterwards in Shronell Cemetery.
