This  family  lived  next  door  to  James   Higgins’s   Hotel  in  Emly  which  later  became  the  Golden  Thatch,  owned   by  the   Mulhall  family.

James  Reardon  (1829-1905), son  of  William  Reardon  &  Mary  Ryan ,  married   Johanna   Carroll  (1828-1902)  in  Emly  RC  in  1854.  Their  children  were  Ellen   Reardon   1855,  Bridget  1857,  Mary  1859,  Anne  1864,  William  1866  &   Johanna  (1869-1964).

Johanna   Reardon   (1869-1964),  married  Patrick   Hennessy  in  Emly  RC  on  the  19-01-1895.  Patrick  Hennessy,  a  painter ,  was  born  in  Cullen,  Co.  Tipperary  in  1872  to  parents   James  Hennessy ,  a  tailor  and   his  wife  Mary  Lovett.   Patrick  Hennessy,  like  his  father-in-law,  James  Reardon ,  became  an  egg   dealer .

Children  of  Patrick  Hennessy  &  Johanna   Reardon  were  Mary  Hennessy  1897,  James  1897,  John  1898-1966,  Johanna  1899,  William  1901,  Lucy  1902-1902,  Patrick  1903,  Dennis  1904,  Annie  1905,  Kathleen  1909  &  Timothy  1910.

John   Hennessy  (1898-1966)  married   Mary  O’Carroll  and  their  daughter   Mary  Ann ,  known  as   Marian  (1929-2013)  married   John  O’ Kelly  (1934-1980), son  of  Ailbe  O’Kelly   &  Lucy  Crowe  of  Drumcomogue,  Emly.

NB.  The  Johanna  Reordan  and  the  Johanna  Hennessy  (1869-1964)  that  are  recorded  are  the  same  person and a  daughter  of  James  Reordan  (1829 – 1905)
