Mary C  Bourke (1896-1968), nee Burns / Byrnes,  daugter  of  Laurence  Burns / Byrnes (1861-1898)  &  Johanna  Conway  of  Garryheakin, Cullen, Co. Tipperary  married  William  Heelan  Burke (1887-1954) , son  of  David  Tobias Burke (1842-1919) & Kate Heelan of  Coolboy, Emly  in St. Josephs  RC, Limerick City  on the 28-02-1922.

Johanna  Burns / Byrnes (1866-1938) , nee Conway ,  the  widowed  mother of  Mary C Bourke (1896-1968) remarried  to  widower  Timothy Crowe (1861-1939)  of the Boro Rd , Emly  in Bansha  RC, Co. Tipperary  on the 11-02-1903.

David  Tobias  Burke who died 04-06-1996 was a  son  of  William  Burke  &  Mary  C  Bourke ,  nee  Burns / Byrnes (1896-1968).

Bridget  (Biddy)  Burke  (1928-2017) nee Leddin ,  wife  of  Danny  Burke  of  Breansha ,  Emly and daughter-in law of Mary C Bourke (1896-1968 )  died  on the 31-03-2017  and was interred here on  Monday 03-04-2017. At the time of her death, she was survived by her husband Danny Burke, sons  Timmy & Willie, daughters  Mary Condon & Margaret  Conway.

Biddy Burke (1928-2017)  was the daughter of  Timothy  Leddin & Margaret O'Neill  of  Ballycahill, Hospital , Co. Limerick who were married in Knockaney RC, Co. Limerick on the 16-02-1926.

Biddy's husband, Danny Burke (1927-2018), son of William Burke (1887-1954) died  on the 02-06-2018 and was interred here on Wednesday 06-06-2018.  At the time of his death, he was survived by his sons and daughters  (mentioned above),  by his brother Fr. Timmy (Birmingham) and by his sister Rita Maher (Glenbane).

His brother, Pat Burke (Foxy) 1936 - 2013, predeceased him on 24th January 2013 and is interred in Emly's new cemetery.

Rita Maher, nee Burke, wife of Matt Maher of Glenbane, Lattin died  on the 12-10-2019 and was interred in Shronell cemetery.

Her sibling Fr. Timmy Burke (1923-2020) died in Birmingham UK on the  05-04-2020 and was interred in St. Ailbe's church grounds in Emly on the 18-05-2020.

Aileen Burke, nee Slattery 1942-2024, wife of Pat  (Foxy ) Burke ( 1936 -2013 ), died on Nov 3rd 2024 and was interred with her husband in Emly's new cemetery on Wed 6th Nov 2024. Her Obituary reads as follows :

The death has occurred of Aileen Burke (née) Slattery of Coolboy, Emly, Co.Tipperary

Aileen passed away peacefully, on 3rd November 2024, in the loving care of St. Michael's Nursing Home, Caherconlish, Co. Limerick.

Pre-deceased by her husband Pat, son John and granddaughter Ciara. Beloved mother of Mary (Murphy), Liam and Toby.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, sisters Mary (Hourigan) and Sr. Noreen (Slattery), brothers Eamonn (Slattery),and the late Billy, Paddy, Seán and Tom, son-in-law Joe (Murphy), daughters-in-law Margaret and Marie, grandchildren Conor, Brian, Eimear, Matthew, Rachel, Eoin, and Cathal, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

 Lying in repose at her residence Coolboy, Emly, Co. Tipperary on Tuesday, November 5th, from 5 30 to 8pm. Reception on Wednesday, November 6th, into St. Ailbe's Church, Emly, Co. Tipperary for Requiem Mass at 11.30am after which Aileen will be laid to rest in the local cemetery.
