Thomas  Raleigh  (1877-1918), son  of  Matthew   Raleigh  (1844-1924)  &  Mary  Cleary  (1850-1878) of  Drumcomogue,  married   Johanna  (Joe)   Bourke  (1885-1915),  daughter   of   Edmond  Bourke   &  Mary Hayes  of  Coolboy,  in  Emly   RC   on  the  24-2-1914.  Their  daughter,  Mary  Patricia  Raleigh  was  born  in 1915.

Thomas  Raleigh  (1877-1918) was in fact  41 yrs old when he died. Date of death was recorded in civil registration as being on the 28-09-1918.

Matthew  Raleigh  (1844-1924), son  of  Thomas  Raleigh  & Winifred   Mitchell, married  Mary  Cleary  (1850-1878), daughter  of   James   Cleary  &  Johanna   Heelan,  in  Emly  RC  on  the  24/2/1870.  

Their  family  were  Winifred  Raleigh   1871,  Johanna   1872,  Patrick  1875, Thomas  (1877-1918)  and  Bridget  1878.

Sisters  of   Mary  Cleary   named  on  the  inscription  were   Catherine  (Kate)  1851-1928  &  Ellen  1854-1920,  who  married   Daniel   P   Hayes   of   Ballintubber ,  Griston,   Co.  Limerick.
