NB.   Monour ,   Kilross ,  Co.   Tipperary.

Margaret  Carew ,  nee  Walsh,  widow  of  Thomas  Carew  ( 1855 -1910 )  of   Spittal  St.  Tipperary. They  were married  in  1878.  Thomas Carew  was  a  railway porter  &  farmer.

Their  daughter  Mary  Carew ( 1879 – 1962 )  married  Bryan  Laurence  Gargan (  RIC ), son of  Edward  Gargan,  on  the  18-02-1903 in  Tipperary  RC.

 Their son ,  Edward  Gargan, was  born  circa  1904 / 1905.  Mary  Gargan,  known  as  nurse  Gargan,  was  a midwife.  She  died  in  St. Patrick’s  Cashel,  Co.  Tipperary  on  the 09-06-1962.

Siblings  of  Mary  Gargan ,  nee  Carew ,  included   John  Carew,  Patrick ,  Catherine  &  Thomas.

John  Carew, his  wife  Alice  &  his brother   Patrick  Carew  are also  recorded  at  this  memorial.

Alice  Carew, nee  Hennessy,  daughter  of  Timothy  Hennessy,  Lisvernane, Co. Tipperary,  married  John Carew  on  the  28-02-1922  in  Lisvernane  RC.   John  Carew  farmed  at   Monour , Kilross,  Co. Tipperary.

Alice  Carew  died , aged  72 ,  on  the  14-06-1960  at   her daughter  Rita  Sloane’s  residence at  72  O’ Brien St . Tipperary.   Alice's  husband ,  John , had  predeceased  her  on the  24-05-1945, aged  58.
