NB. The  William  Mitchell  referred  to  twice  is  the  same  person.

Matthew  Mitchell   was  born  in  Ballylooby,  Duntryleague,  Galbally  parish,  Co.  Limerick  in  April  1813.  Parents  were  Matthew  Mitchell  &  Judith  Allen.  

He  married  Mary  Power  in  Pallasgreen / Templebredon  parish  on  the  26-2-1854. 

Children  born  to  them  were  Matthew  1855,  William 1856-1940,  Michael  1858,  Judith  1860, Bridget  1862,  Margare1864 and  Annie  1870.

Annie  Mitchell ,  born  1870 ,  married   John  Gannon   in  St. Augustine’s   Church  in  Limerick  on the  09-4-1907. 

Her husband,  a  native  of  Castleroe, Co. Kildare had  a  draper’s  shop  in  Church  St. Tipperary  Town. 

Their  son,  John  Joseph  Gannon  (1909-1981) was  born  there  on  the  06-3-1909  and  is  the  person  interred  at  this  memorial .
