NB. John Heffernan (1930-1989), known as the Jun Heffernan. Survived at the time of his death by his wife Mary, sons John, Pat, Thomas & Michael, daughters Mary, Patricia, Cathy, Caroline, Martina & Geraldine.
John Heffernan , The Gables, Kilcornan, Cahir, Co. Tipperary, the son of John of this memorial, died on the 29-01-2018 and was interred in Duhill cemetery, Castlegrace, Ballylooby, Co. Tipperary on Thursday the 01-02-2018. He was survived by his wife Brenda, sons David & Paul and above siblings.
John Heffernan's younger brother Michael (1962-2021) died suddenly on Mon 30th Aug 2021 and was interred at the Hogan family memorial 0019 on Thursday 2nd Sept 2021. Michael's partner, Mary Hogan is the daughter of Josephine & Des Hogan. See memorial 0019 for details
Mary Heffernan, nee Stanton 1930-2025, wife of John ( Jun ) Heffernan 1930-1989 & daughter of Pat Stanton & Mary Daly of Rockhill, Co. Limerick died on the 26th Aug 2025 in her 90th year and was interred at this memorial on Fri 29th Aug. Her obituary reads as follows :
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sad passing of Mary Heffernan, nee Stanton of St. Vincent’s Court, Tipperary, and late of Monemore, Emly, Co. Tipperary, who passed away in the loving and tender care of Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel surrounded by her loving family, on August 26th, 2025.. Pre-deceased by her husband John, and sons John and Michael.
Sadly missed by her beloved sons and daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, and kind friends.
Reposing in the Chapel of Peace at Fraser & Family Funeral Home, The Square, Galbally, Co. Limerick on Thursday, 28th August from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Reception into St. Ailbe’s Church, Emly, Co. Tipperary on Friday, 29th August for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
