The  Hanora  Burke  who  died  in  1912, was  the  mother  of  John  Burke  who  died  in  1918.

Hanora  Burke ,  nee  Mahoney ,  daughter  of  John  Mahoney  of  Bartoose, Emly  married   Patrick  Burke,  son  of  William  Burke  of  Ballycarrane,  Emly  in  Emly  RC  on  the  20-2-1871.

 A  son,  William  was  born  in  1872  and  their  son  John,  whose  name  is  recorded  on  this  memorial   was  born  on  the  09-5-1875 and  died  aged  43  on  the  18-7-1918. 

John Burke’s  father ,  Patrick  Burke  died  in  1900.

John  Burke  (1875-1918)  married  Ellen  O’Dwyer ,  b. 1876, a  daughter  of  Matthew  O’Dwyer  and  Nora  Murphy  of  Chantersland,  Emly  in  Emly  RC  on  the  15-2-1903.

 Patrick  Burke  who  died  in  1988, was  born  in  1906.
